Urmila is affected by leprosy. She was forced to leave her home, because her father could not take care of her. She had no place of her own to live.
This was three years ago. Urmila was put in contact with the Nepal Leprosy Fellowship, and got the medicine she needed to treat her leprosy. She now lives with a woman in her neighbourhood, who adopted her as a “sister”.
Nepal Leprosy Fellowship (NLF) also trained her in handicraft, and she makes cards there. She can earn some money while still having time to study. Urmila is now in the 11th grade, and NLF helps to pay for her tuition and uniform.
When you buy products from Nepal Leprosy Fellowship, you are helping Urmila and others like her stay in school. You can buy Urmila’s cards and help support her and the Nepal Leprosy Fellowship!
