Sunday January 29 is World Leprosy Day. Around Australia, and the world, people like you are taking the opportunity to raise their voices on behalf of those affected by leprosy.

Our theme this year is Heroes of Hope.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. Heb 12:1-2a

As an organisation that seeks to follow Jesus in all that we do, churches play an essential role in helping achieve our goal of making leprosy a thing of the past. Partnering with us you will transform the lives of women, men, and children and help end leprosy.

You can hold a World Leprosy Sunday service any time that suits you this year. You might wish to dedicate your whole service, the sermon, a mission spot, or a special Cuppa for a Cure morning tea to focus on supporting people with leprosy.

We have all the resources you need to make this a special time in your community.

Available resources include:

  • Sermon notes and PowerPoint
  • Mission spot notes and PowerPoint
  • Sunday School lesson
  • Cuppa for a Cure
  • Speakers (subject to availability)
  • Bible Studies and more!

Will your church be a Hero of Hope in 2023?
